the individual dog was entered as

Adult
Championship Requirements
(Changes / Revision 2010
- Retroactive to include 2007 and onwards show results )
Before earning adult champion status, a dog must complete one of
the following.
A dog will become an adult champion based on whichever of the two
(2) methods of adult championship below is attained first:
1.) Adult Major Win
A. ) Dog must earn at least TWO adult major wins, whereby each win
earned is as Best Male or Best Female Adult over a minimum of 15
dogs in their respective classes or Best In Show Adult or All Around
Best in Show Adult over a cumulative total of 15 dogs.
The two adult major wins must be achieved at two different shows and
under two different Judges.
For example: A show where there are 2 shows on the same day then
a dog cannot earn a major win for Best Male or female and another
major win for Best in show overall where both are at the first show
on that day, as they must be at separate shows.
B. ) A total of 100 points is required for an ABNA Championship.
2. Adult Major Win
A.) Dog must earn at least THREE adult major wins, whereby each win
earned is as Best Male or Best Female Adult over a minimum of 10
dogs in their respective classes or Best In Show Adult or All Around
Best in Show Adult over a cumulative total of 10 dogs.
The three adult major wins must be achieved at three different shows
and under three different Judges.
For example: A show where there are 2 shows on the same day then
a dog cannot earn a major win for Best Male or female and another
major win for Best in show overall where both are at the first show
on that day, as they must be at separate shows.
B.) A total of 100 points is required for an ABNA Championship.
PLEASE NOTE:
For those Adult Dogs who had already earned the adult major win
as detailed below prior to the introduction of the Changes /
Revision 2010, then the following Adult Championship Requirements
below applies to those dogs ONLY;
At least one major win (when attained ONLY at an ABNA show prior to
2010) as Best Male or Best Female over a minimum of twenty dogs in
their respective adult classes or Best In Show or All Around Best in
Show over a cumulative total of twenty adult dogs will be classed as
already having earned their adult major win requirement towards the
ABNA Adult Championship major requirements, and will therefore not
have to earn any additional adult major wins introduced in 2010
under the changed / revised adult championship major requirements
system.
However, a total of 100 points is still required for an ABNA Adult
Championship to be awarded.
Adult Champions Class
Those dogs having earned ABNA adult conformation championships
will be eligible to compete in the Champions Class.
Champion males and females will compete together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ABNA strongly encourages all owners to have their dog's hips
certified by either OFA or PennHIP. In doing so, we will document
the results on all championship certifications. If the dog has not
been certified, that will be noted as well.
Working titles from recognized working associations, i.e., WABA,
IWPA, Schutzhund, Ring Sport, Search and Rescue etc., will be
documented on all championship certifications. We encourage owners
to have their dogs actively involved in one or more of the working
disciplines.
It
is not the intent of the ABNA to be a governing body that mandates
requirements. However, we do want to recognize those owners and dogs
that have taken the time and effort to promote and bring credence to
our breed.
